Rawan Studio operates قيراط Karat (“Karat”). This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the Karat app.
Karat does not require you to create an account and does not directly collect personal information such as your name, email address, or phone number.
Karat does not request access to your contacts, photos, camera, microphone, or precise location.
Information entered into the Karat calculator is stored locally on your device. This may include gold price, item name, karat, weight, purchase or selling information, other calculator inputs, and calculation results.
This information is not transmitted to Rawan Studio servers and Karat does not use cloud storage for this information.
Karat uses a third-party service, Gold-API, to retrieve gold price information. The app makes a request for the XAU gold price.
Karat does not send your locally stored calculator information to Gold-API as part of this request. However, when making an internet request, technical information associated with the connection may be available to Gold-API, such as your IP address, API request information, request timestamps, and approximate geographic information derived from your IP address.
Gold-API's handling of information is governed by its own privacy policy.
Karat currently does not use advertising, analytics services, or tracking technologies.
Rawan Studio does not sell, rent, or share your personal information for advertising purposes.
Technical information may be processed by Gold-API when the app requests gold price data, as described above.
Calculator information is stored locally on your device. You can remove locally stored app data by deleting the information through the app where applicable or by uninstalling the app from your device.
Information processed by Gold-API is subject to Gold-API's own privacy practices and retention policies.
Rawan Studio takes reasonable measures to protect information handled by the app. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission over the internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Karat does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Karat uses Gold-API to obtain gold price information. Gold-API may process technical information associated with API requests according to its own privacy policy.
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date.
